I know you’ll feel better when we’re taped together

Depicted is Mercury and Psyche in a “romantic” entanglement based on an engraving by Jan Harmensz. Muller (1571 – 1628). However, Muller made the engraving based on a sculpture by contemporary artist Adriaen de Vries (1556 – 1626) who is not very well known in his home country of the Netherlands but all the more internationally. The original statue of Mercury and psyche is in the Louvre but a copy can be seen in the garden of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
